Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American advisor to the political process, was the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) as well as the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) and the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015); and the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 until 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001, when she was working in the reelection campaign of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate. Psaki became John Kerry's deputy press secretary in 2004. From 2005 to the year 2006, Psaki served as communications director to U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for the field of political communications and was the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 election campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] There was speculation she was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary at the Department of State.[21] But Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30 the 30th of May, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she was there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
